My Story

On Monday, May 31, 2010, I embarked on a mission to lose weight and to get into the best shape of my life for my wedding. For a long time that mission was a success until life started getting stressful and food became a way to cope with that stress. To make a long story short, the mission fell short before my wedding day was here. And to make things even worse, I stopped eating healthy, exercising, and blogging for over two years. I now have a very beautiful wife and baby boy but my health is still crap. So to turn things around, I am brining back "The Heavy Man" and the "Mission to Healthy."

Day #201 - 90 lbs Down

So I weighed in this morning at 212.6 lbs, which is normal due to weight fluctuation. But I was still happy to see that number looking back at me. Knowing that I am around the 90lbs lost mark, makes me extremely happy and proud of myself as well. Even better, is knowing that I am so close to reaching 100 lbs lost. Which seems like it is only a few weeks away. Well, I guess I can officially check off my current small goal of weighing in at 215 lbs by December 31st! And because that goal has been accomplished, I am going to state another one for the record right now. I want to break through the 210 lb wall, right into the low 200's by December 31st. I can't believe I am even saying this right now! Never in a million years would I have pictured myself possibly weighing around 200 lbs, maybe even under 200 lbs eventually.

As I was running today, I was imagining what it would feel like right now being home with Patty and my family, especially since it is Christmas time. And I still get the same feeling inside of being very homesick. But the good news is that Patty will be down here in Charleston starting this Sunday!! I had a credit with Continental that rolled over with me from my last job and we thought this would be a perfect time to use it. If I can't be home with Patty right now, might as well bring Patty here to me. I think it is the perfect solution and maybe it will help me deal with being homesick.

I mentioned before that I went running again today. This is because our replacement keys, to the gym, are still not ready. Don't get me wrong, I have developed a real love for running over the past few months, but I need to get a weight lifting session in soon. Running does help me clear my head but lifting weights really helps to get rid of the stress that builds up during the day. Anyway, the day was very productive again and I feel like we are getting closer to finalizing the details for the big event coming up in a week. But for now, I am going to get some much needed sleep. Have a great night my friends and I will talk to you tomorrow.

With that being said, let's get to the details of the day:

Meals of the Day (The Heavy Man - 49 Points)
(I am currently following the Weight Watchers PointsPlus program)

*I had a bowl of homemade chili tonight, that one of my co-workers made and it tasted great. He also made pasta salad as well. I am going to count this as a cheat meal.

Snacks During the Day - 1 serving of pasta salad, 2 rice cakes, and 2 servings of wheat thins
Lunch - 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with a serving of wheat thins
