My Story

On Monday, May 31, 2010, I embarked on a mission to lose weight and to get into the best shape of my life for my wedding. For a long time that mission was a success until life started getting stressful and food became a way to cope with that stress. To make a long story short, the mission fell short before my wedding day was here. And to make things even worse, I stopped eating healthy, exercising, and blogging for over two years. I now have a very beautiful wife and baby boy but my health is still crap. So to turn things around, I am brining back "The Heavy Man" and the "Mission to Healthy."

Day #197 - Needing Some Me Time

The days are starting to run into each other down here. I actually thought that today was Tuesday. And I didn't make that mistake just once today, I made it a few times. There seems to be work upon work that keeps on piling up. And every time I think I have a little break, something new pops right into the picture. Now I am not complaining because I knew what was ahead of me coming down here. But I think the hardest part about this whole trip is that my family and Patty are not here with me. It is Christmas time and it really doesn't feel like Christmas at all. I just wish that this event is successful and that January comes very fast.

Work filled my day once again and I didn't workout now for the second day in a row. I am disappointed in myself because that is 2 days in a row now that I didn't make time for myself. And I have to make a conscious effort to not let that happen any more. I have come to far to slip now. It is a good thing that I remain eating healthy everyday. I am thinking about trying to workout in the morning because my days are only going to get busier from here on in. And if I start my day off exercising, hopefully it will keep me going strong and energized the entire day. Plus it allows me to get my workout in everyday, this way I can focus on getting what I have to get done for work the rest of the day and not have to worry about getting to the gym late at night. The one good thing about living in my mobile office is that I can sleep in a little, get up and workout, and still have a full day ahead of me.

Anyway, it is getting late and I was up to 3am last night trying to get things done. I think I am going to try and catch up on a little sleep tonight. Until tomorrow my friends, have a great night!!

With that being said, let's get to the details of the day:

Meals of the Day (The Heavy Man - 49 Points)
(I am currently following the Weight Watcher's PointsPlus program)

Breakfast - 1 slice of pound cake = Points 8
Snack During the Day - 2 rice cakes = Points 2
Lunch - Foot long Chicken Teriyaki sub on whole wheat bread with 2 slices of american cheese, a serving of baked chips, and apple slices = Points 25
Dinner - 1 baked chicken breast, a side of green beans, and a serving of wild rice = Points 12

Total Points Eaten Today = 47 Points (2 points under my daily limit)

I did not workout today due to work. Tomorrow there will be no excuses.

Day #197 - Weigh-In = 217.2 lbs
Day #197 Weigh-In

Day #197 Front Shot

  1. Isn't it funny how much we miss working out when we don't do it? I couldn't imagine that back at 370 lbs when I didn't want to walk around the block.

Make the time. You probably need that more than you need anything else.

  2. I understand what you mean. I've been itching to get some workouts in this week but i'm also very, very busy! So i will have to put myself #1 on my list :)
I still think your doing great for being away from home and cooking for yourself!
