My Story

On Monday, May 31, 2010, I embarked on a mission to lose weight and to get into the best shape of my life for my wedding. For a long time that mission was a success until life started getting stressful and food became a way to cope with that stress. To make a long story short, the mission fell short before my wedding day was here. And to make things even worse, I stopped eating healthy, exercising, and blogging for over two years. I now have a very beautiful wife and baby boy but my health is still crap. So to turn things around, I am brining back "The Heavy Man" and the "Mission to Healthy."

Day #200 - Still Moving Forward

I believe I have reached two milestones in one day!! Well, first I am going to state the obvious one. It is officially the 200th day of my, "Mission to Healthy!" Can you believe that I started this mission 200 days ago??!! And I have not strayed from path the entire time. It is the longest commitment I have ever made, well beside the 7 years I have been with Patty. But common, 200 days straight! I am extremely happy that I did not give up on myself and I don't plan on ever giving up for the rest of my life. Thank you all for your support over the past 200 days and I can't wait for the next 200 days to start.

The second milestone I hit today, happened when I weighed in this morning. The scale displayed that I was weighing in at 211.8 lbs!! This means I have lost 90.2 lbs since the start of this mission!! Of course it might be a little higher tomorrow because of my weight fluctuation but I was extremely happy to see that number on the scale this morning. As a matter of fact, I have been doing great in the weight loss column since I have arrived down here in Charleston, 2 weeks ago. Since I have gotten down here, I have lost 12 lbs! I think that is great, since I am not at home and I don't have access to a gym right now, because the key doesn't work. I do however, want to check my weight on the gym scale when we get a working key again, just to make sure that my scale is still accurate. I always tend to do this when I have a good weight loss streak going. It is just a habit of mine that I have developed.

Anyway, day #200 went pretty well and I am feeling better every single day with my health. I am pumped and ready to hit the ground running for the next 200 days. Until tomorrow my friends, have a great night!

With that being said, let's get to the details of the day:

Meals of the Day (The Heavy Man - 49 Points)

  2. I kinda love the mirror thing we have going. I can not tell you that to many times that the commitment we have shown is the most amazing thing. The weight comes and goes, setting a course and following it, that is new to me.. Opening day in 155...I have a ticket for another thin guy..
