My Story

On Monday, May 31, 2010, I embarked on a mission to lose weight and to get into the best shape of my life for my wedding. For a long time that mission was a success until life started getting stressful and food became a way to cope with that stress. To make a long story short, the mission fell short before my wedding day was here. And to make things even worse, I stopped eating healthy, exercising, and blogging for over two years. I now have a very beautiful wife and baby boy but my health is still crap. So to turn things around, I am brining back "The Heavy Man" and the "Mission to Healthy."

Day #198 - Getting Work Done and Making Time For Me

I felt like myself again today!! These last two weeks have been very long and extremely stressful but I made it through them. I have to keep on reminding myself that this event and everything associated with it, is not the end all be all. I have had rough times like these in the past but I survived. Hell I was in the worst shape of my life, a little over six months ago, but I managed to work my way through it. If anything, this mission has taught me that not everything in life is easy or will be handed to you. It is up to you to make your own path and control your future.

I sat in the kitchen of our house / make shift office, down here in Charleston, the entire day from 9am - 11pm. And I did nothing but book flights for 40 people and made sure that everything, pertaining to traveling, was on the right track. The entire time I was working, I kept on thinking about running a successful event. I know it is said, "If you believe it, it can be done." I am hoping that this applies to my event as well. And the event was not the only thing I was thinking of. It had been 2 days since my last workout and I was determined to not make it 3 in a row. My goal was to be finished with everything by 11pm so I could run outside. And sure enough, 11pm rolled around and I was out the door faster then you could blink your eyes.

It was extremely cold outside but I made sure to pack on the warm clothes. As I was running, I felt like I was in my own world and nothing could bother me. I actually ended up visualizing the entire week of my event from start to finish. And I know I can translate what I was imagining into reality. Anyway, my run was very relaxing and was the perfect way to end a very productive day. Until tomorrow my friends, have a great night!!

With that being said, let's get to the details of the day:
